I like octopuses, a great book and you’ll never find me without a big cup of ice water by my side. A total freak for essential oils, bad jokes, mini m&m’s and really big ideas, I talk a whole freaking lot and love love love to laugh. I have a hot fiancé who I love making googly eyes at and I’m a momma to two crazy cats. Traveling is my jam. Right here you will see all of those things, plus a bit more craziness. I am a YUGE reader. YUGE I’ll tell you.
Actually, I used to really hate reading when I was younger, but I got over that really darn quick because reading is that actual bomb.com.
It is helpful and healing, a retreat when one is much needed, a place to call my own at a young age. It took me to places I’ve never been and will never go (still crying over Hogwarts) and gave me friends when I didn’t have any. Reading has always been an escape and I truly cherish and look forward to my book times.
That being said – my fiance calls me a walking library as I am never without a book. One to two in my bag, always a few in my car and stacks around the house – including a 4 to 5 book stack next to my bed at all times.
I told you I was YUGE reader.
I also have very eclectic taste and a serious book hoarding problem… so my shelves are quite a mess, but forever treasured.
With that being said, I wanted to start a book round up of what I am reading each month. Maybe it will introduce you to a new read, maybe you’ll laugh at my tastes or maybe you’ll find your new favorite – you never know, but we will find out, thats for sure!
Oh yeah, this tell all tale of Hollywood, Scientology and her foul mouth? What a freaking read. Part people-magazine-guilty-pleasure, Part eye opener. It was equally parts annoying and so good. Read it just to find out just how bonkers Scientology can actually be.
Ridiculous, funny and sometimes a little bit of a drag, this girl is not kidding when she tells it all about being a Nanny for the stars. I thought some of my Nanny stories were crazy (I nannied for 6 years!) but hers are INSANE. Equal parts sad and funny, it was a good quick read.
Cora Cash is haughty, classic and rich as sin. And she sure is buried up to her neck in sin. Unfortunately, none of it is her own making and really I just ended up feeling quite sorry for the darling of society. Very descriptive (love feeling like I am seeing what is happening just from words!) and beautifully told – I’d 10/10 recommend!
That is my current month! I actually have two more books in my pipeline that I have been nose deep in, however: I’m not done them. And I absolutely cannot speak about a book that I have not finished yet because for real, you never know what could happen! ( Can you tell that the one time I spoke about a book before I could finish it, the main character died? It happened, and I SOBBED. )
